Manhattan? FUHGETTABOUDIT! A Slice of Brooklyn Bus Tours is the ONLY Brooklyn-based tour company offering guided bus tours of Brooklyn’s favorite foods, neighborhoods, landmarks and famous movie locations like Saturday Night Fever, Goodfellas, Moonstruck and more. Best of all, OUR TOURS DEPART CONVENIENTLY FROM MANHATTAN! Started in 2005 by proud Brooklynite Tony Muia as a way of increasing tourism to Brooklyn.
Love chocolate! Make sure to hop on board their new Chocolate Tour departing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10 am on the corner of East 13th St and 4th Ave in Union Square. A tour not to be missed. You’ll enjoy chocolate samples from four of the most exclusive chocolatiers in Brooklyn. Get ready to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The company has three other popular tours: the Pizza Tour, which has been featured on the Travel Channel and the Food Network and has been voted the #1 tour of Brooklyn on Tripadvisor for the past five years in a row, the Neighborhood Tour which includes a full sit down lunch at legendary Junior’s on Flatbush Avenue and the whimsical Christmas Lights Tour of Dyker Heights which has been featured on Good Morning America and the Today Show. All tours are conducted by native Brooklynites who are licensed NYC tour guides.
We've done the Pizza Tour (fantastic!). We've done the Dyker Lights Tour (awesome!). This year the company introduced the Chocolate Tour and it exceeded expectations. I actually learned a lot about chocolate from the bean to the candy/cake/cocoa. It was a nice, laid back time with family away from the bustle of Manhattan the Friday before Christmas. The tour guide (owner) did a wonderful job keeping everything moving, providing knowledge, and just being an overall friendly guy. The stops on the tour were good because they did a wide range of chocolate concoctions. The samples were extremely plentiful and quite yummy as well. There was time to purchase additional items at each stop so we could take home gifts for friends (but that didn't happen because we ate it all ourselves on Christmas eve.. oh well!!). I highly recommend any and all tours offered by this company... each is unique and you can do them all. My family is especially looking forward to their newest tour offering in the works which is supposed to be some type of beer, wine, spirits type of tour. - Tracey from Pennsylvania
