Dyker Heights

An Italian neighborhood resided by families exuding the holiday spirit.

Dyker Heights - one of Brooklyn's most predominant Italian neighborhoods - resembles a suburban community and is located in the southwest corner of the borough. After the 1800’s, this once small luxury housing development, expanded to the large stretch of what is now Dyker Heights. The neighborhood attracts visitors from near and far during the winter months when the grand homes are vastly decorated and lit for the holiday season. Photo courtesy of Allan Harris via Flickr.
