Flatbush

A central Brooklyn neighborhood known for its rich Caribbean culture.

Flatbush is a large neighborhood characterized by its influx of Caribbean immigrants.The bustling main drags are home to excellent hole-in-the-wall West Indian restaurants and Caribbean bakeries, especially in East Flatbush. For a unique shopping experience, try the Flatbush-Caton Market, an indoor bizarre of products from the islands. The neighborhood also boasts an important historic relic of Brooklyn, the Flatbush Reformed Church.
