20th Annual Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest

Saturday, October 27 at 11:30 A.M.
Fort Greene Park
The Great PUPkin is the largest and longest-running dog costume competition in Brooklyn. Even if you don’t have a dog, you’re welcome to stop by to watch the dogs compete in this annual tradition! The competition will be judged by the following: Dr. Bill Farmer, owner, Heart of Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital, Matt Duncan, Art Director, Sesame Street, Jen LaPorta and Megan LaPorta, owners, Hudson Jane Restaurant, and one surprise VIP super-special celebrity guest judge!
The top ten winners will also receive the much-coveted Great PUPkin rosettes and since it is their big 20th anniversary, there will be many surprises in store!

Harvest Festival

Saturday, October 20 at 11 A.M. – 2 P.M.
Pier 6 Brooklyn Bridge Park, DUMBO
Head to the 9th Annual Harvest Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park. There’ll be many fall festivities including a parade with a brass band, pumpkin patch, arts and crafts, face painting, live music, games and more. Plus, food will be available from Fornino and Ample Hills.

39th Annual Halloween Haunted Walk and Fair

Saturday, October 27 at 12-3 P.M.
Lookout Hill, Prospect Park
Bring the family to Prospect Park’s 39th Annual Halloween Haunted Walk and Fair. Go for a spooky walk and watch out for zombies, werewolves, witches and other spirits in your path, and then head to the Halloween Fair on the Nethermead with offerings from food trucks.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden hosts its annual Halloween celebration with live music, rutabaga skee-ball, stilt dancing and a wacky costume parade.

Luna Park, Coney Island
Halloween Harvest returns to Luna Park with magic shows, arts and crafts, stilt walkers, roaming artists, a costume contest, trick-or-treating and more throughout the park.

Fort Hamilton MWR Haunted Hospital

Friday, October 26 at 8 P.M.
124 Wainwright Drive, Fort Hamilton
Ready for a spooky haunted hospital? The hospital has a children’s ward, morgue, and shock therapy fantasy rooms, pharmacy, visitors center, and a laboratory. Dare to enter the VIP morgue or shock therapy fantasy room with nurse and doctor ambassadors. The only way to escape is with the help of a health professional.
Costumes encouraged. Must be 21 and older to enter.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place of the costume contest.

What’s spookier than a graveyard on a late October evening? Wander Green-Wood Cemetery with candlelight as your guide and encounter musicians, moving images, performance artists and storytellers beneath the moonlight in this unique, historic setting.

Catland is offering a group seance where attendees will have the opportunity to bring questions and guided through this unique engagement. Each attendee is asked to bring a single white candle of their choosing.

Rocky Horror Picture Show Live Karaoke Revue and Halloween Extravaganza Presented by the Occassionalists

The Occassionalists’ Fourth Annual Rocky Horror Picture Show Revue and Live Karaoke Halloween Extravaganza return to The Bell House this Halloween. There’ll be two complete live karaoke sets and a costume contest with prizes.
