BWAC’s 25,000 sf Civil War-era gallery is located at a spectacular waterfront site overlooking the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor across from the Fairway supermarket and down the block from IKEA in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn, set amidst Artist Studios, maker-places, galleries and trendy restaurants. BWAC Gallery is accessible by public transportation, NYC Ferry, IKEA Water Taxi and biking is a breeze!

Admission to the Gallery, The Red Hook Experience, the waterfront view, and all special events is free to everyone, donations gladly accepted.

BWAC was founded in 1978 to help artists – established and emerging –
make their work available to the public. BWAC is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization.

Thanks to the largesse of the O’Connell Organization, and support from the New York City Cultural Development Fund and Individual Donors, BWAC provides a lively venue for metropolitan-area artists and art-lovers in every graphic medium.
