New York’s “Little Poland” is also home to a growing crowd of hipsters.
This cozy, über-charming neighborhood is located just north of Williamsburg. And while all of North Brooklyn grows hipper by the day, make no mistake: Greenpoint is first and foremost a Polish spot. Along Manhattan Avenue awaits some of the best Polish food in New York, alongside established local businesses like Peter Pan Donuts. New restaurants and bars stay open late into the night, catering to the neighborhood’s younger crowd. All in all Greenpoint’s got a homey vibe that is well worth the trip on the G train. And if you’re there, don’t miss the views of the Manhattan skyline from a rooftop or waterfront park. Photo courtesy of Hrag Vartanian via Flickr.
